Richard is the founder of both Bodywise Fitness and IF Studio. He has over 15 years experience as a Fitness Professional in Hong Kong and the U.K.
Richard believes an all round approach to health and fitness is the key to achieving goals, whether its weight loss, pain free functional movement or mixed martial arts performance. He has UK certification in Personal Training, Sports Massage, Sport Psychology, and Nutrition for Health and Fitness (among others, see full qualifications list below).
Richard mixes resistance training, movement, martial arts and fitness games with flexibility training and regular testing for a strongly goal focused approach. He has a good grounding in injury rehabilitation and corrective exercise and has worked with many pre and post natal clients.
Whatever your goal is, you have to keep working towards it. Richard knows that the easiest way to keep his clients coming back regularly is to make their fitness fun.

Upon visiting International Fitness (IF) Personal Training Studio on Wellington Street my expectations were not exactly high, but thankfully my experience with founder and trainer Richard Crow was worlds apart from my past experiences. The IF gym inhabits a clean, white space with a large open floor area lined with various pieces of equipment – from the more familiar, like dumbbells and yoga balls, to kettle weights and a free form (more about that later). I have been training with Richard for over three years and I would recommend him to everyone I know! For me Richard’s knowledge and advice on training and getting my fitness back after having my two children was incredible and hugely motivating. Richard always ensures a personalized training schedule for each session and ensures all aches/pains or injuries are kept an eye on. His expertise and knowledge in health and fitness was evident from the minute I met him with his in depth assessment and goal setting at the beginning of my program. Also when I had problems with my back Richard was able to offer advice on how to improve this at home and in the gym using a wide range of games and exercises that have not only been fun but have helped me so much. I could not recommend Richard more highly. I had set a goal of losing a significant amount of weight and even before I began training with him, he regularly talked me through general fitness and good nutrition. Once I started training with him, his quality very quickly shined through. Richard is very thorough. He listened through my goals and workout interests and put me through a number of simple fitness tests. Using these results, he created an initial program focusing on both building basic fitness and working to achieve my goals. Every 2-3 months since, he has changed the program to ensure that I continue to be challenged and am pushed to achieve my goals.
He is well versed in both the physical and theoretical aspects of working out and has had the ability to build programs that specifically meet my goals. After achieving the weight loss goals that I had set, he seamlessly shifted into a programs focusing on muscle building and fat burning. I would say that working with Richard, I’ve burned 70-80 lbs of fat and built 20-30 lbs of muscle, reducing my body fat percentage by 15-20%.
Look, Richard isn’t a magician. I’ve still needed to do the hard work. But, there’s no doubt that a significant amount of the praise needs to go to him. He built the programs, helped my set achievable goals and pushed me to stay focused and finish what I’d started. He’s the best trainer that I’ve worked with and I quite honestly I don’t see myself working with another one.
